So good to be back home and adjusting to our norm! My 4 YO said to me at the airport “I didn’t miss you at all, Mommy!” Broke my heart BUT his teacher said he couldn’t stop talking about mommy coming home.

Nothing like an airport ✈️ bathroom selfie!
It's been a whirlwind 24 hours of trying to get a flight booked, square away help for my 4 YO and make sure my husband has everything he needs for the week while O and I travel back to WI to celebrate my Grandmothers 95 years of life. While my heart is heavy, I am very fortunate to have had 38 years with her. ❤️ So while I may be smiling in this picture, deep down I was a ball of emotions --- particularly nervous and anxious (borderline panic) of flying solo with a toddler. Especially while I am in such a vulnerable state of mind.
The trip was successful - thanks to Daniel Tiger for keeping my 2 YO occupied so I could listen to my @calm app and meditate my anxieties away. Anyone have any other secrets to calming nerves while flying?

Today is a bittersweet day. My parents headed back to WI after a week of laughter, hugs and even some tears. My 4 YO is learning so much at school, including potty words and it is oh so frustrating! Thank God my mom was here to take over before I officially lost it. 😳
